I must admit, the amount of bright canines and felines does get a little sore on the eyes. But, people do put a lot of effort into these things. But do you have to critique kids' art? Yout gotta realize that people have thier own tastste, no matter what and where it may be heading.
This is an ART community, yes? Every time someone posts a piece, claiming it to be art, there is even a box to check concerning critiques- so it seems to be an intended part of the process. If someone logged on here expecting it to be a virtual day-care service for their fragile feelings, they made a mistake. I'm just helping them see the error of their ways. Consider it motivation to improve and post something that doesn't suck.
I have a question for you, what right do you have to go and criticize people's art? For one you have no art of your own. Secondly constructive critisism my rear end. Constructive criticism would be "I think it would be better if you used a different shade of _____" Not "That color scheme is horrific, and it honestly hurts my eyes to look at. The design itself is a little bit borderline, but, please, for the love of god, could you pick another color besides that sea-green-blue? Combined with that burnt umber color, I feel like my retinas are being burned out. " How rude. If someone asks you to help them then do so, if they don't ask for your opinion don't give it.

I have plenty of right to criticize other people's ART on an ART website. If someone doesn't want their work commented on, they shouldn't post it here. Looking for asspats like "cute" and "good job?" Take it to myspace, or an LJ community, or something else that isn't DeviantART.
As for my art? For all you know, I have a secondary account somewhere just brimming with art. Or maybe not. Maybe I just chose not to disrespect the serious artists here by posting drivel like so many children here do. It doesn't matter. Are you a five-star chef? No? But I'll bet you can still tell when food tastes like shit, can't you?
